About Passenger Endorsements
Those that intend to drive buses transporting 16 or more passengers, including the driver, must add a passenger endorsement to their commercial driver’s license or commercial learner’s permit.
Bus drivers must have a commercial driver’s license or commercial learner’s permit if they drive a vehicle designed to seat 16 or more persons, including the driver.
Drivers must pass a special knowledge exam on safety considerations when transporting passengers and must pass a skills test in a passenger vehicle.
The Passenger Endorsement applies to drivers who wish to drive a bus in any CDL Class, such as Class A and Class B.
School Bus Driver Information
CDL drivers who wish to drive a school bus must add a School Bus Endorsement to their commercial driver’s license or commercial learner’s permit.
Bus drivers must pass a special knowledge exam, in addition to those required for the Passenger Endorsement, on safety considerations when transporting passengers in a school bus. Bus drivers must also pass a skills test in a school bus.
The School Bus Endorsement applies to drivers who wish to drive a school bus in any CDL Class, such as Class A and Class B.

We have a bus in its vehicle inventory for training drivers for the purpose of earning their Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.
Range and behind-the-wheel training occurs in and around the bus, helping students familiarize themselves with the operation of these large passenger carrying vehicles.
