Distractions for Young Drivers
What are the distractions for young drivers? We can call such distractions ‘interior,’ that is, distractions within the cab or inside of the vehicle, as well as ‘exterior,’ or those distractions outside the vehicle.
Distractions outdoors are often not in the driver’s control, but your response to it is. Interior distractions are music, passengers, and cell phones. It is important to be able to screen out these distractions and focus on the task of driving.
Developing good driving habits now can make driving a rewarding experience as you start to build the future you imagine! There is no substitute for experience, but you want to create cautious and deliberate habits that will serve you well until you become a master behind the wheel. This is only done through preparation and practice!
