According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 30 people die across the U.S. every day in alcohol-impaired vehicle crashes.
In 2017, that was one death almost every 48 minutes. In addition to the cost of life, damages as a result of alcohol-related crashes exceeds $40 billion per year.
Even though drunk-driving fatalities have fallen by over 30% in the last three decades, they still claim more than 10,000 lives per year.
